6th December: "It's the first snow I've seen this year, and it makes me very happy to have seen some. Now if only I was suitably prepared for cold weather, I could walk around without my legs showing. I knew I should've packed more than a mini-skrt."
6th December: "For sure there's a lot of stuff to do: I've just come back from a night of Korean BBQ and karaoke and it's been a great night. But if I have to go to another tourist attraction tomorrow I might die from disinterest."
BBQ Time Requiem
9th December: "In the evening we all went out for another BBQ, which was much better because we weren't allowed to cook any of it and because it had cheese as well. It ws all melty and stringy. I loved it."
Shaved Ice in Winter is a Bad Combination
13th December: "It was really nice as far as final meals go, despite my inability to pay for any of it. They were nice enough to cover for me, and even let me share their desserts afterwards too. I'm really lucky to have met such generous people at this hostel."
7th December: " Finally, at about 12:45, Yoomin arrived, surprising me from behind."
Natural Reaction to K-Pop
7th December: "I threw Yoomin off-guard when I said I honestly just fancied a pizza, but in the end we settled on a bibimbap place nearby."
7th December: "We sat in the traditional manner on pillows around a low table, and I failed miserably to understand just how mixed up you're supposed to mix up the bibimbap and had t be shown instead."
7th December: "We got this syrup-stuffed pancake that scolds your mouth with its concealed lava-sugar, and we walked on to a massive covered market that sported all manners of fish and fried foods."
7th December: "I tried spicy pickled octopus for the first time. It was not great."
Something Fishy Here
7th December: "We walked our way along a sunken stream that had someho survived amongst the skyscrapers. It was decorated with deliberately placed rocks, and even a heron could tolerate the city enough to hang out. All rather unexpected, but the makeshift ice-skating along the frozen curb was fun."
Cute! (Part 2)
7th December: "The street we needed to go down to get to the restaurants were full of street food stalls (something I never would have associated with South korea but is apparently a huge thing), and it was all very similar-looking to Shibuya's side-streets. Yoomin asked me which I preferred. I said that Shibuya's streets always felt like people were just moving from place to place, without any incentive to stay there, whereas here, people pause to buy things and eat stuff and have conversations. I much preferred here."
Precious Antique Coin
6th December: "We started with a funky market that gives you a plastic dish and ten old antique coins to use at various stalls."
6th December: "The coins were a nice touch, though. I assume they cash them in later for vaild currency."
I Can't Find this Building on Google Maps
6th December: "I think I've got tourism fatigue. I think I'm tired of looking at areas of interest in international cities, at least right now. It was at the Folk Musuem (?) that I realised this."
